Our Vision –To make Christ relevant to our community as we seek, serve, love and grow together as one body of Christ.

Relevance relates to presenting the gospel that appeals to families, singles, children, etc. including blending music genres that inspires worship. Our community is both inside and outside of our church, being open and hospitable. Taking the church to the people. Evangelizing, making disciples for the transformation of the world, and caring for the needs of those who can’t care for themselves. Being the arms and legs of Jesus.

When Christ is relevant, the community will know that we are here to meet their needs. We are a light that cannot be hidden. We have good news, and good news is relevant and much needed.

True relevance is understanding culture and responding to hurts and needs with the gospel, sacrificial love, and selfless ministering. (source- Kent Shaffer)

Seeking God’s direction is to be a praying church. Corporate and individual prayer is necessary for growth and spiritual vitality. Seeking God’s direction so that we are relevant to our community and attractive to 21st century candidates for discipleship.

Serving together in love to have a cooperative spirit that is willing to work for the good of our church and reaching our community for Christ. Serve Christ faithfully and be committed to Him. Lay Leadership and committees work for the good of the church and community.

Love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Love vertically and then horizontally. God loved the world so much that He sent His only Son to die for us so that we could live abundantly. Love has everything to do with our relationship with God and with our neighbor.

Grow spiritually in our worship and understanding of God’s will through study. To get out of the boat…to stretch ourselves to do and learn something different. Be willing to be uncomfortable. Growing numerically, attracting new people and making disciples. Growing in our relationship with one another. Growing in our understanding and embracing our differences. (Growing spiritually, numerically, socially and emotionally).

Priority – to grow the following areas: Worship, Education, Mission/Evangelism, Finances..   One body of Christ – walking in unity and recognizing that every gift that God gives matters. We should embrace different gifts, and seek to abandon our comfort zone. A body has many parts to make a whole. Romans 12:5 a church where everybody is somebody is one of our core values. .
